Recap: After firing Manager Dave Trembley on June 3rd, he was replaced (on an interim basis) with Third Base Coach Juan Samuel. Under Trembley, the team was off to a very slow start (10-18 in May) in a season when the Orioles were expected to compete for the AL East title this season. They currently have the worst record in the majors. How well can Samuel do when management is already interviewing former major league managers (Buck Showalter, Eric Wedge and Rick Dempsey).
There are some rays of sunshine in the form of RF Nick Markakis who is currently batting .341 in the last 10 games. As of this writing Markakis was hitting .308 with six homers and 31 RBI's with a .395 on-base percentage.
One bright spot in the season was Edwin Jackson's no hitter on June 25th at Tropicana Field against the Rays. Jackson walked 8 batters and struck out six in a 149 pitch outing.
The team's current rotation and bullpen are:
RHP Brad Brach
LHP Zach Britton
RHP Miguel Gonzalez

RHP Ubaldo Jimenez
