RECAP: President and GM Rod Thorn, one of the most successful GM’s in NBA history is stepping down after a dismal 12-70 2010 season. Replacing him is former 76er GM Billy King and also arriving new to the scene is Head Coach Avery Johnson.
Departing the team were F Yi Jianlian who was traded to the Wizards and F Chris Douglas-Roberts who was traded to the Bucks. Arriving new to the team are Guards Jordan Farmer and Anthony Morrow along with Forwards Travis Outlaw and Quinton Ross. In the 2010 NBA draft, the Nets selected PF Derrick Favors with the 3rd overall selection and the franchise looks to implement him into the offense immediately.
With the planned move to New York City put off a while longer, look for the Nets to play at the Prudential Center until they do move. So come on out and support your New Jersey Nets as they attempt to shake up the Atlantic Division.
