STATUS:
RECAP: The Wizards are looking to rebound from last season’s misery and get back on the winning track and they hope that their number one selection in the draft, guard John Wall (1st overall draft selection) will be just what the doctor ordered. Wall was named the Most Outstanding Player in the Las Vegas Summer League averaging 23.5 points and 7.8 assists a game. This gives the Wizards one of the, if not the best backcourt in the NBA with Gilbert Arenas, John Wall and Kirk Hinrich.
The team also selected Clemson Forward Trevor Booker with the 23rd overall selection and Rutgers center Hamaday N’Diaye, the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, and Trevor Booker. The team also resigned F Josh Howard to a one-year deal. Howard played in only four games last season.
