History: Initially inaugurated as the Fort Worth Bowl in 2003, the Armed Forces Bowl is normally played at Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of TCU and features a team from the Mountain West and a team from Conference USA with both D-I Independent Military Academies (West Point and the Naval Academy) if neither a MWC or C-USA team are eligible. Last season featured SMU against Army with Army nipping the SMU Mustangs 16-14.
