History: The Cotton Bowl Classic has been in existence since 1937 and was played in the Cotton Bowl until 2007 when it was moved to the new Cowboys Stadium. Upon the move, Bowl Officials began a campaign for the Cotton Bowl to become a part of the Bowl Championship Series. The game matches the Big 12 against the SEC and has a payout of $3 million per team. Last year, fans saw the LSU Tigers defeat Texas A&M 41-24.
