History: Established in 2006 as an NCAA Post Season bowl game, the New Mexico Bowl has been played on the campus of the University of New Mexico campus. The games first sponsorship came this season, 2011, when Gildan Activewear became the games first sponsor with a payout of $750,000. Last season’s matchup produced 76 points with BYU defeating UTEP 52-24.
