History: Originally founded in 1986 as the Hall of Fame Bowl, Outback Steakhouse took over sponsorship in 1995 and has been run by Jim McVay since its inception. In 1999, the game moved from Tampa Stadium to Raymond James Stadium. The two tie-ins for this bowl game are the Big Ten and the SEC. Last season, the Penn State Nittany Lions took on the Florida Gators with Florida winning 37-24.
