History: The newest bowl game in the NCAA, the Pinstripe Bowl was established in 2010 and matches the Big East and the Big 12. Many names were bantered around, the Yankee Bowl, the Jeter Bowl and even the former Gotham Bowl but, when New Era Cap Company signed on as the title sponsor, the name Pinstripe Bowl was established. Last season, in the inaugural game, the Syracuse Orange took on the Kansas State Wildcats in a spectacular and tight game. In the end, Syracuse narrowly defeated K-State 36-34.
