History: Second only to the Rose Bowl, the Sugar Bowl has been played annually since January 1, 1935 and hosted the BCS National Championship Game in both 2000 and in 2004. Last season featured the 11-1 Ohio State Buckeyes against the 10-2 Arkansas Razorbacks. With Ohio State getting off to a fast start and building up a 28-10 halftime lead, the Razorbacks climbed back into the game in the third period and allowed Ohio State only three points in the 2nd half. The deficit though was too much and the Buckeyes walked away the winner of a 31-26 game.
