History: Along with the Sugar Bowl and the Orange Bowl, the Sun Bowl is the 2nd oldest bowl game behind the Rose Bowl. Established in 1935, the Sun Bowl has had many sponsors but are now sponsored by Hyundai and feature teams from the Pac-12 and the ACC. Last season, the Sun Bowl Miami and Notre Dame were the contestants with Notre Dame winning 33-17.
