“21st Century Breakdown” the 8th release by the rock group Green Day has surpassed all expectations. The album, which is split into three acts: “Heroes and Cons”, “Charlatans and Saints”, and “Horseshoes and Handgrenades”, received critical reception.
In September 2009, the band got together Michael Mayer and they adapted the rock opera “American Idiot” which landed on Broadway in April 2010 which was nominated for several Tony Awards to include Best Musical and Best Scenic Design.
The band is currently on a three leg tour. They will be in Europe until through July 4th then begin their North American leg on August 3rd in Camden, NJ. And will continue on until September 4th. The band then begins their South American leg in October where they will hit Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Costa Rica.
Often compared to The Ramones and The Clash, Green Day has evolved into one of Americas most relative rock bands and is a show any true rock fan can’t pass up.
