2011 Season Outlook: With Tom Brady behind center, the Patriots will always be contenders as he is one of the most cerebral quarterbacks in league history and will end his career in Canton as one of, if not the best QB in football history. The team added a couple more pieces to the puzzle with Ochocinco and Wes Welker fully recovered from a knee injury two seasons ago. Look for the Pats to be right in the middle of it all at the end of the season.
Recap: There was a certain satisfaction when Tom Brady performed to perfection and won the Comeback Player of the Year in the NFL. Playing with three broken ribs and a broken right ring finger, Brady finished the regular season with 4,398 passing yards and 28 touchdowns giving him a 96.2 rating. In the playoffs, the Patriots met the Baltimore Ravens who took out the Patriots 33-14.
In the 2010 draft, the Patriots had no first round picks but had four 2nd round selections and 12 overall. The first pick in the draft went to Oregon S Pat Chung (34th overall), BC DT Ron Brace was the 2nd selection (40th overall) followed by CB Darius Butler (41st overall), OT Sebastian Vollmer (58th overall), WR Brandon Tate (83rd overall) and LB Tyrone McKenzie (97th overall).
