2011 Season Outlook: The Bucs should improve even more this season with a great young QB (Josh Freeman) and a full time running back (LeGarrette Blount). This team is dangerous and flying under the radar but they will be vying for a shot of the NFC Championship.
Recap: The second season under head coach Raheem Morris should prove to be better than the 3-13 record from last season. Helping on the defensive side of the ball will be #1 draft pick (3rd overall) DT Gerald McCoy. Their second selection also went to the defensive side of the ball with the selection of UCLA DT Brian Price. Their third pick went to Illinois WR Arrelious Benn. The franchise acquired three players off the free agent market to include LB Jon Alston formerly of the Oakland Raider, former Eagle WR Reggie Brown and former Eagle S Sean Jones.
This season, the franchise will induct their very first head coach, John McKay, into the Ring of Honor on December 5th against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs will wear their throwback uniforms. McKay will become only the 2nd inductee (the first being FB Mike Alstott).
