Chicago White Sox Information

SEASON RECORD: 33-62 (0.347) as of July 18th
STATUS: 19.0 game(s) back, 4th in the American League Central

Recap: The Chicago White Sox are playing great ball at the midway point of the season. While the Central is a tough division, the ChiSox have managed to keep the Tigers and the Twins at bay and hold first place by the All Star Break.

Interleague play should be a hit with the fans as the ChiSox take on their cross-town rivals the Chicago Cubs as well as the Braves, the Marlins, the Nationals and the Pirates.

The team has had few injuries with only two players currently on the DL list. RHP Jake Peavy will undergo season-ending surgery on July 14th in what the Sox management believe is an unprecedented procedure. Both the club and Peavy's doctors are optimistic that he will return to full form.

The team's current rotation and bullpen are:

RHP Scott Carroll
LHP John Danks
LHP Zach Duke
RHP Junior Guerra
RHP Jake Petricka
RHP Zach Putnam
LHP Jose Quintana
RHP David Robertson
LHP Carlos Rodon
LHP Chris Sale
RHP Jeff Samardzija
RHP Daniel Webb

Look for the Sox to keep a tight grip on the AL Central and make a run for the 106th World Series.
